In church this beautiful hymn was played as a piano solo. It touched me...
In humility, our Savior,
Grant thy Spirit here, we pray,
As we bless the bread and water
In thy name this holy day.
Let me not forget, O Savior,
Thou didst bleed and die for me
When thy heart was stilled and broken
On the cross at Calvary.
Grant thy Spirit here, we pray,
As we bless the bread and water
In thy name this holy day.
Let me not forget, O Savior,
Thou didst bleed and die for me
When thy heart was stilled and broken
On the cross at Calvary.
Fill our hearts with sweet forgiving;
Teach us tolerance and love.
Let our prayers find access to thee
In thy holy courts above.
Then, when we have proven worthy
Of thy sacrifice divine,
Lord, let us regain they presence;
Let thy glory round us shine.
Teach us tolerance and love.
Let our prayers find access to thee
In thy holy courts above.
Then, when we have proven worthy
Of thy sacrifice divine,
Lord, let us regain they presence;
Let thy glory round us shine.
It was my last day in Young Women's since I'm moving.
Next week is Stake Conference and the next i will be out of town.
I kept it under the radar.
Didn't announce that it was my last week. I didn't want to be sad and cry.
Then...
Heart breaking news hit my family a little bit hard.
My brother in law Jeff... (although in my family there is no such thing in-laws)
lost his father suddenly and unexpectedly.
It's amazing how fragile life is.
How precious our time really is here.
Seeing someone you love dearly hurts. You just want to take the pain away.
Sometimes it's just not right.
I keep thinking of that beautiful hymn.
It makes me so grateful that we have knowledge of the plan of salvation.
The atonement
and...
a loving heavenly father.

Suz,
I don't know how I've missed your last few posts, but YOU'RE MOVING!?! Can I be a tiny bit sad while I am super excited and happy for you? I know this will be a wonderful opportunity and experience for you, because you are a strong, faith-filled woman!
P.S. Amen to the beautiful hymn played on Sunday. It was an exceptional sacrament meeting!
